This is a cover design that I did from a while back.
Stacey Waite's first full-length collection _Butch Geography_ just came out from
Tupelo Press. It's unflinching and buoyant. I suggest seeking it out if you can.

Dario, asleep in the room with my desk.

                                                                                                                       A well-worn choreography.

I'm looking for a summer full of picture taking, somewhere wild, overgrown,  and festive with people whose lives have a breathless quality, an embodied something that comes through in the way that they move and speak. I'm not looking for anyone to breathe into my mouth, but rather to fill their pockets with rosemary sprigs and climb into the boughs of a tree--- unburdened. I had a dream last night that I was being covered in salt again. My back is still aching when I sit up to work long hours on a teaching philosophy. He says "compassionate," I say "experiment."
